Rimfire Energy is a licenced NT electricity retailer providing NT large business customers a competitive alternative. We sell electricity to eligible large business customers in Darwin, Katherine, Tennant Creek and Alice Springs.
Are You a Large Business Customer?
Large business customers are defined as those that consume an annual electricity usage of more than 750 MWh per annum and if the premises are used for operating a business. For tariff purposes, you will also be considered a large business customer if you have a current negotiated contract and if you are being charged based on the unregulated commercial default tariffs. Large business customers would typically spend more than $18K per month.
Metering
For you to choose your electricity retailer and become a Rimfire Energy customer, you must have an eligible “smart meter” or a remote-read interval meter installed at your premises. Our friendly customer service team can assist with metering.
Product and Pricing
Our large business customers are provided with customised pricing specific to their consumption patterns, payment terms, and external market prices at the time of contracting. Large business customers are charged on an “unbundled” pricing structure.
This means that your bill will include:
